Learn to Deal with Triumph and Disaster from McIlroy

Learn to Deal with Triumph and Disaster from McIlroy

For most golf fans, it was exciting time to watch the 2011 US Open, almost as extraordinary as Rory McIlroy’s golfing achievement this week is the response to him. When have you ever seen a sporting event in which everybody is rooting for the same competitor?

Why so many people like Rory McIlroy? In my opinion, most people may like the ways of McIlroy to deal with disaster. In this article, you could learn to deal with triumph and disaster from McIlroy. If you are looking to buy good golf clubs, I would like to recommend the good TaylorMade golf - TaylorMade R7 CGB Max Fairway Wood to you!

When Rory McIlroy was asked after his record breaking win at the US Open whether as a small boy growing up in Northern Ireland he could have dreamt that this could happen to him he thought for a moment and then replied that yes actually he had dreamt of it happening.

Growing up watching Tiger Woods do extraordinary things at a young age meant that he could have these sorts of dreams. That’s not to say he expected to do it at such an early age but he did dream that one day he would hold a major trophy. Those dreams had taken a severe dent at the Masters two months earlier and some questioned his ability to overcome that disappointment.

McIlroy had been identified as a prodigious talent from an early age learning golf under his father’s guidance on the courses of Northern Ireland. So when he went into the final round of the Masters with a four shot lead it seemed certain that his destiny would be fulfilled. He started that round a little shakily but managed to get to the halfway point with a one shot lead.

A lesser person would have been destroyed by these events but what did McIlroy do? He fronted up to the press and answered them honestly and sincerely, he flew half way around the world to honour a commitment he had to play in a tournament in Malaysia and he didn’t just play but he nearly won the tournament! Then he went back to Northern Ireland to his home and worked out how to ensure that what happened at the Masters didn’t happen again.

There are those that will say that the true test will come for McIlroy when he’s not protecting an eight shot lead but a one shot lead. The comparisons with Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus are inevitable but let’s hope that Rory is left to go about his career in his own way and is not burdened with the pressure of chasing records that seem to have driven but eventually crushed Tiger Woods.

If you meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two impostors just the same….you’ll be a man my son! Thanks for reading my article, if you want to know more features of r7 cgb max fairway wood, you may read this taylormade r7 cgb max fairway wood for sale at okgolfsales.blogspot.com.

Will Tiger Woods be at National

Tiger Woods is an American professional golfer whose achievements to date rank him among the most successful golfers of all time. Now, Tiger Woods is not the Number One, what next for him?

In this article, you may find that Tiger Woods will be at National, just not on the links. If you want to know much more information or jokes, you may read this funny article about TaylorMade R11 Driver price.

Woods never made it out there, either. That was the height of Tigermania. Woods hasn’t won a tournament since November 2009. And he’s only played nine holes since injuring his left knee and Achilles’ while nearly winning the Masters in April.

But he still moves the dial. So the good news for local fans is, he’ll once again be at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa., for the AT&T National, which tees off on Thursday. The problem is that he won’t be playing. He’s making a supporting pre-tourney appearance because the event benefits the Tiger Woods Foundations. He used to be the official host, until AT&T opted not to continue as one of his sponsors after his personal issues became public fodder.

He wasn’t a factor a year ago, when he tied for 46th. Yet his presence made all the difference. The galleries were deep. They mostly came for a singular reason: to catch a glimpse of his every step. He’d never played here before. Even if he had, the response would’ve been the same.

Woods, by the way, is 17th. Not all of them are household commodities. It would probably have helped if a Bubba Watson or Dustin Johnson or Jason Day had signed up. Getting Phil Mickelson was asking too much.

So, there’s plenty of storylines. It’s just that (ital) the (ital) storyline is missing. That’s nobody’s fault. And there’s nothing anyone can do except try to appreciate the guys who are here.

Philly doesn’t usually warm up to anything it views as a less-than-big-time product. Yet that’s what many regular PGA Tour events are. Star quality can’t always equate to Tiger or Phil or Rory. The U.S. Open will be back at Merion in 2013, for the first time in 32 years. After that, who knows? If that major goes well, there’s every chance it could return. Yet that likely wouldn’t happen until the late 2020s. Aronimink wants to host a major itself. But the earliest that could probably take place is another decade from now.

So embrace the AT&T for everything it is, instead of the elements that are missing. You never can tell when we’ll have that next photo op to call our very own.

Congratulations! Rory McIlroy! Rory McIlroy is a professional golfer who won the 2011 US Open, the Rory McIlroy rose to world No 3 on Monday. It is good news for any McIlroy’s fans, isn’t it?

The youngest US Open winner for 83 years is experiencing his first immersion in the world of celebrity, slam dunked you might say.

His eyes appeared to be spinning behind his thick-rimmed, black glasses on Monday and his hair was a law unto itself. The day passed in a series of stage-managed engagements with his clothing supplier Oakley in central London.

McIlroy said all the right things, indulged the Oakley marketing men with jolly anecdotes about the efficacy of their engineered fabrics and how important it was not to be constrained by his clothes. McIlroy could get the ball in the hole wearing a bin bag, but we knew what he meant.

“I can’t believe how busy I have been [since Congressional] but really need to get my head down now and get ready for the Open. I did a photo shoot last Thursday, hit a few then, and hit a few balls at Wentworth on Monday. I’ve cleared Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for practice. Going to practice more than play though I might get a game in somewhere.”

McIlroy played the golf of his career at Congressional, holding his game together across the four days to pile up a string of record numbers. He says he is not concerned about the time consumed by off-field adventures.

“I’m off to St George’s Thursday and Friday of the Scottish Open week. I then go back the following Tuesday for my press conference. I won’t play at all on that Tuesday; probably do 18 on the Wednesday.” You are the boss, now, Rory.

Rory McIlroy Won’t Go Easy on Tiger Woods

Rory McIlroy Won’t Go Easy on Tiger Woods

After the 2011 US Open, more and more people think that Rory McIlroy would be the next Tiger Woods, who is better golfer between Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods?

Nowadays, McIlroy plans Major raid while Woods recuperates, he said: I won’t go easy on Tiger! In this article, you may find golf news about Rory McIlroy. If you are looking to buy good golf clubs, you may try this G15 Driver who is hottest golf clubs in the golf market.

Rory McIlroy is determined to make the most of Tiger Woods being down and, for the time being at least, out as well. Tiger Woods has not won a title since November 2008 and has been out of action since mid-May because of knee and achilles injuries. He has yet to decide whether he is fit enough for The Open on July 14-17.

In contrast, McIlroy has spent the last week enjoying his US Open victory before visiting Wimbledon tomorrow and then starting practice for The Open. ‘It’s a good time for me to win things when he’s not playing his best,’ said 22-year-old McIlroy. He added: ‘The first thing for Tiger is to get healthy and see what happens from there.

The youngster is now part of an unprecedented 1-2-3 for UK golfers at the top of the world rankings with Luke Donald and Lee Westwood.

‘We saw Lee get to number one in the world and Luke has been very consistent for the last two years,’ he said. ‘We’re working hard to beat one another and strive to be better than everyone else.’

McIlroy added that he has not had time yet to reflect on the performance of his young life. ‘If I joined I’d feel like I was giving part of that up. I’m not prepared to move away from home yet and base myself in the US full-time.’

He also has plans to watch David Haye’s world title fight at the weekend and will be making an early trip to Sandwich rather than wait until Open week.
