Tiger Woods Will Play California Tournament

Tiger Woods, who started the season at No. 2 in the world, dropped to No. 38 in this week. But, some golf fans still believe that Tiger Woods would be back!
Now, Tiger Woods has made good on his promise to play a fall event ahead of the Presidents Cup. Woods announced he will participate in the Frys.com Open. In this article, you may find the news about Tiger Woods. If you are looking for good wholesale golf equipment, I would like to recommend the good R11 Driver and TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons to you.
The event is scheduled to begin Oct. 6 and is played near Stanford, the university that Woods attended. Woods already received an invitation from Fred Couples to join the national team in the Presidents Cup. That invitation was extended after Couples asked Woods to participate in a Fall Series event. It looks like that is now a reality.
After missing out on the FedEx Cup playoffs, the season for Tiger Woods figured to be over. Woods has seen limited action this season due to injuries. When he has played, it hasn’t been pretty. After a nice showing at the Masters, Woods played nine ugly holes at the Players Championship. After long break, he returned to break par once in four rounds at the Bridgestone Invitational. The following week saw him miss the cut at the PGA Championship. Clearly, playing this event should benefit his game. Woods is in bad need of a strong performance. This additional tournament provides him with a chance to make an impact on the golf course.
This is the first time Woods has played in the event. The defending champion is Rocco Mediate, the man Woods beat in memorable fashion for his last major win in 2008. Wouldn’t it be something if the two appeared in the final group of this event? That might be wishful thinking, but it does bring a new level of excitement to the tournament. I don’t see Woods winning, but it would be good for him to play well. He hasn’t put together a complete performance in a long time. Woods is a golfer that was once in contention all the time. This event gives him a chance to feel that again. Who knows, it might be just what he needs.
